Rachel Nichols, Brian Windhorst and Tracy McGrady debate whether Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has reached his peak, or whether he might get even better.
#TheJump #NBA #Sports
Y’all are acting like he’s going to master the jumpshot. If you come into the league with a poor jumper, chances are you won’t be an elite shooter. People like Lonzo have higher chances because he isn’t learning how to shoot. Dude already was a good shooter before the league.
He’s going to win. Just not In Milwaukee.. they gonna lose him in free agency. They just won’t attract real good talent to come there. Id like to see him end up in New York in 2021.
T-mac is right. People lookin at his age are delusional. Remember Dwight Howard and what we thought he could end up if he learned to post up and shot 10-15ft jumpers? We waiting for him to develop a jumper but what if he ends up not being able to shoot ever?
The Greek freak is nowhere near his peak. How can you not watch his game and notice that his peak would include a consistent jump shot. And then that is game over.
I fear Giannis’ free-throw shooting will forever be a growing struggle. It has gone from 77% in 2016-17 to 76% in 2017-18 to 73% last season to his current career low of 63% so far this year. It’s entirely psychological.
HATERS that young man Giannis is NOT at his PEAK. He needs to continue to work on his mental confidence and with the RIGHT coach and supporting TEAM sky is the limit.
Not even close to his peak. Under 25 with a sorry free throw % and plenty of room to grow with his jump shot. Dude will be terrifying in a couple years if he continues this way. In a couple years I believe Simmons and Giannis both will be otherworldly players. We’ve never seen players like that. The next Giannis could very well be Zion but we haven’t gotten there yet.
I’m sorry but Giannis hasn’t reached his peak yet. He has no go to moves in half court and still can’t consistently hit a mid range jump shot. Forget about the three pointer.

I love McGrady. But he dead wrong on this. Giannis is nowhere near his peak. The kid is only 24 years old.

Your not at your peak when you haven’t been in the NBA for 10 years. Experience is so important when it comes to the NBA.
