Awful coaching! The Nuggets didn´t lose in the last 8 seconds as it might look from this video, they lost this game because at some point they let the Blazers lead by 17 pts. And then regaining those points is a tough job, specially if you don´t defend that hard but let the Blazers score a lot of threes. And finally when the refs started favoring the Blazer in the last minutes with many incorrect calls, it became clear Jokic´s amazing 38 pts were once again not enough to win a game. The Nuggets didn´t defend hard and for that we can only blame awful coaching by Malone.

On that last play, seems like Jokic wanted to double Simon, even though Coach doesn’t want a double team as he wants to prevent a three. In the end Murray didn’t double team and Jokic didn’t even bother to challenge the shot.

What was Jokic doing on the final basket? He didn’t even try to stop him, Giannis woulda slapped that ball outa here. Nuggets is useless this year, they ruined my whole Stake parlay with this lazy performance. Hats of to Blazers they actually looking good and played to win, nuggets seemed lazy.

I think he was instinctively waiting for the rebound or for the score so he can take it out quickly like he usually does. Jumping wildly at a shot to attempt a block usually puts you way out of position to rebound it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t break that instinct in the final seconds of the game, not realizing that there is no rebound to get.
