Led by Jalen Brunson’s 27 points (21 in the 2nd half), the No. 5 seed New York Knicks defeated the No. 4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1, 101-97. Julius Randle (19 points, 10 rebounds) and Josh Hart (17 points, 10 rebounds) added a combined 36 points for the Knicks in the victory, while Donovan Mitchell led all scorers with 38 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists for the Cavaliers. The Knicks lead this best-of-seven series, 1-0, with Game 2 taking place on Tuesday, April 18 (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT).
