This is their set/ how they initiate their offense or start the set. Every team knows these this is the setup to start running actions

You do know pretty much most teams run the same plays right just all different names n different ways to set em up. They’re just running thru sets

Personal, I think we shouldn’t run the system primarily through Embiid post ups and isos. We should have our gaurds be the focal point, it would create for smoother offense and more opportunities for others. Playing out of your big can lead to stagnation unless that big is a rim runner or constant vertical threat. Embiids scoring opportunities come supper late in the shoot clock because it takes forever to get him into an open iso situation. Whereas a guard can get into the iso situation much faster and if double, then Embiid will be open on the foul line or deep post.

@Jordan Pollard Um everything you just said😂😂 Embiid is a top 5 player in the league and they shouldn’t run the offense primarily through him? Embiid was the leading scorer in the league and they shouldn’t run the offense primarily through him? Lol bruh if your saying that because he’s a big man in today’s leauge that means he shouldn’t be the primary offensive focus then you don’t know basketball literally the best players in the league right now are all big men and in today’s league with the spacing and shooters on the court it’s best to run your offense through a dominant big men in the paint because you have to double to stop him it’s gonna leave a shooter wide open that’s what has made Milwaukee and Somewhat Denver so successful with Giannis and Jokic you can’t stop them 1 on 1 in the post so that always leaves somebody open same with Embiid. Not to mention he isn’t just a post player he’s probably the most skilled big man in league history saying they should have Harden or Maxey as the primary focus is ridiculous Harden is more of a playmaker now and PG of the team who is the second scoring option when needed to and Maxey isn’t a number 1 option type of player he does well off of Embiid Harden and Harris but if you try to make him the primary scorer the 76ers will just not make sense having one of the most dominant players in the league as a 2nd or 3rd option

@Jordan Pollard I’m 30 and would love to go back to the late 90’s early 00’s era.
My Celtics, the LA, Sac, Portland, Philly, Jersey, New York, Indy teams.
When the big man was still relevant.
Also when the greatest dunker in history was in his prime. Vince Carter

@Zaveion Chambers no problem, thanks for elaborating your opinions. So in response I’ll say this. I personally like having a big who can pass and iso when needed. However there are problems that arise on offense and defensive especially in the playoffs.

      Examples:
In the case of Denver, they are notorious for not playing Joker towards the end of quarters and in the 4th quarter because of the defensive issues that arise when teams switch. Now on offense, his passing is word class, but his particular game (and to a degree Embiids) limits his options in the post and in the PnR. He mainly fades for the elbow or 3, which is great if no one goes over the screen but seldom will you see him do a simple roll and finish a lob or dunk.

Ebiid is also a similar case, but is significantly better defensively.

Giannis has the height of center but is truly a Point Forward and is 10x more athletic then Joker and Embiid which in turn allows him to dominate the glass alongside Lopez and be a constant vertical threat in multiple scenarios. The bucks excel at 3s, layups, and dunks. Which is the most effective way to play the game. So their success isn’t surprising.

Now look around the league. We see bigs throughout playoff series get benched because when the offense is ran through them or the they get pulled to defend on the perimeter the team drops in efficiency (i.e. the suns, the jazz)

It is true that you have double Embiid and Joker in the post, bu most times you’re happy as a defense to give up a difficult 2-pointer on one end, that burns the shot clock, and even happier on the other end attacking the slow footed center for a 3 pt opportunity or just a quick possession.

Imagine for a sec what the team could be with more of the Harden/maxey Embiid PnR instead of a Harden Embid Pick n Fade 🔥🔥🔥

Zach LaVine and Aaron Gordon got something to say about that lol but I definitely feel that. Just wait in 20 years the we’ll see more point forwards and point centers in the league. The average player height will be like 6’9-6’10 😂
