Shaq has a point with Beal & Trae Young. Trae should not be a starter at all!!!! Beal is more deserving than Trae 100% better record & better stars.

just want to say all these retired players especially on this show talk about staying on your team and doing it the right way, when players have been leaving for better teams FOREVER. There is no doing it the hard way. There is only winning. Both Chuck and Shaq talk about that and yet, they are both players who left for better teams to try to win.

doesnt matter if lowrys team is doing better, Beal should’ve been in over him. Lowry isnt playing like an all star.

All star game should be an individual accolade selection.

An allstar is simply someone you could build a team around from scratch, someone who gets picked first. Would you build a team starting with lowry or Bradley Beal? Chris Paul or Devin Booker? Sabonis or lavine? Gobert or Kat?

I’m surprised by how many all star teams kyle lowry has been able to make, not gonna lie though the last time I watched him play was in the finals and he balled out.

100% Beal should be all-star. He did miss a chunk of games due to injury though. Maybe that was also factored into the decision

I had forgotten that Charlotte Hornets existed, anyone else? 🤦‍♂️

What is more valuable: to average 20 points in a very good team or 30 in a terrible team?
In my opinion, you’ve got to consider the team’s record. If you put up numbers but don’t help your team to win, you’re all star level is questionable.

I agree with Kenny and Charles! Shaq make no sense!

Shaq clearly doesn’t watch the raptors, no doubt Bradley Beal has the ball much more than Kyle Lowry.

Bradley Beal’s usage rating is 50% higher than Lowry’s lol.

Proof again, most of these “experts” do not watch the games that they talk about

Bradley Beal deserved it over Kemba. Kemba deserved the reserve over Ben.

I’ll takeout Tatum. Replace him with Beal.
    Zach lavine for Trae

For me, Sub 0.300 team shouldn’t have an all-star. Unless it’s an injury replacement.

Yo, Beale, Dbook and Dlo should all be all-stars, it’s the best players it doesn’t matter about best team, if Curry was healthy and the warriors still had a bad record in the west, don’t try and tell me he wouldn’t have been selected

Allstar is an individual award. But is based on how you INDIVIDUALLY effect your team. Alot of good players on bad team get empty stats. Like BRADLEY or DEVIN players on bad team who allow them more shots. But if a player is doing the same with better players and team is winning. Just looks better all around.VUCEVIC kills for ORLANDO every year big double double numbers but team is bad. TRAE got voted by the players so thats that.

Hands down Shaq is 💯% right

It’s simple. A player on a good team becomes an all star with good numbers. A player on an average team becomes an all star with great numbers. A player on a bad team becomes an all star with exceptional numbers. Beal puts up great numbers but falls a bit short of being exceptional. Could have been on the roster should he have averaged 32-34 given that he’s a liability on defense.

I could end this whole debate with this, if it’s based on record than how is Montrezl Harrell not in over Ingram. Harrell has more RPG and -5 PPG while shooting a whole 10 % better on FG% and his team has a way better record than the pelicans (currently 20-29)
Although I think that Ingram is the correct choice, his numbers are comparable to Harrell’s but Bradley Beals numbers are not opposed to Lowry

Shaq is spot on. Its individual success to be an all star. Everyone keeps bringing up the team. Beal is better than tatum, lowry, siakam. Cmon guys. Do it the right way.

Team success is an important factor for coaches selection. If Lowry was on the Wizard and Beal was on Raptors Beal would be an All-star this year and Lowry is not.
