Jorge Sedano, Malika Andrews and Jonathan Givony play “BS or Real Talk,” reacting to Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum’s comments on The Woj Pod, explaining why so many big players are turning down playing on Team USA in the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

We’re back to the early 2000’s again where the stars don’t want to play for Team USA. It will be a cycle where the weaker Team USA loses to the rest of the World and then prompts the stars to return again.

There have been many examples of team USA players having a great NBA season the next year. Yes players may be tired. But if you have a chance to win, this summer could catapult your season to higher levels. It could be argued that the guys who dropped out are allowing the current guys to have better seasons than they would have if people didn’t drop out, making it harder for teams to win a title.

GOD “FIBA”?.. USA still the favorite in this tournamnent…
Since USA has the NBA..
And NBA is almost crawling USA talents that can score 200 on an asian team..
FIBA is not that competitive unless US national team dont put allstar or superstar to their team..
Unlike in FIFA where the game is very competitive.. Even asian team can demolish a European team now..
I dont know why Fiba still a thing.. since NBA finals is more entertaining than fiba finals.. And even the weakest team in the nba can have a chance to win that title

Who is this dude in the T-shirt and hoodie I’m better at his job how is this dude on espn he didn’t say anything that wasn’t common sense😩
If they didn’t wanna be on team USA it’s because they don’t care about winning a gold medal it wouldn’t be a challenge for them they are above that league the best in the world play in the NBA there are levels to this no one cares enough to get hurt when u don’t get paid the checks are comin when the season starts that’s why they don’t go these checks they are cashing now are insane and ya like the only thing John said the owners have something to do with that too they are paying these guys damn near a quarter of a billion dollars for top production not 80% after a strained knee or pulled groin hammy pull whatever don’t sugar coat it Johnny boy 🐔💩

We need to send the worst team in the league to play for us we probably would still win and it would be interesting to watch and competitive for everyone else otherwise college players that didn’t get drafted over the last few seasons but are still trying to make it I feel like that could be good do we really care that much if we win it takes the fun out of it for me that’s why I hated the warriors bunch of lame asses 🐑

Why fill the team with allstars? Give the younger guys a chance to show what they can do. Who wanna see 30 point blowouts every game.

BS. A lot of players don’t want to play for the US for the same reasons they don’t go to the White House after they win a championship. Black players don’t want to play for a country that has a racist as the commander in chief.

Guarantee ! 70 percent of professional NBA Teams should be able to to cakewalk through the Olympics. Don’t need a lot of individual talent just well coached team . Look at their teams no superstars. Just playing together. I think we overrattin their talent. Should ask teams to compete.

Maybe they turned it down bc they think they are in a training camp instead of playing in the world cup lmao

So this will result in what happened back in 88 when usa didnt take the National team seriously and just sent college kids. We lost and the next summer games we sent the dream team. I hope this isnt going to be the 88 squad for us.
