You know… maybe they quietly had their eye on this guy for a while and finally went after him once the circumstances called for it. Nothing to do with race.

Now, I’m not going to sit up here and say there isn’t any racism that goes on in the league. However, I don’t think it’s happening here. I believe that what got that coach hired by the Twolves, is the same situation that got Candace, Shaq, and Wade on that panel.

If the team is doing bad why would you want the assistant coach to step up? You need a brand new team.

@fabbz94 think these chaps were brought in on purpose…the original guys (except for Kenny) wouldn’t have turned this into a race issue for sure

I completely agree. We need to make sure all races have equal representation in the NBA, and we should start by not allowing any team to have a roster that’s more than 14% black.

Shaq spoke facts and and everyone on the set is on the money. I definitely believe Candice spoke facts also. People are being hired for so many different reasons other then resume and can they coach or run organizations. Coaches like Mark Jackson and Brian Shaw and other black coaches and coaches of color have been proven themselves but they still do not get jobs. When people call out these businesses and organizations other people get upset but if organizations and businesses actually made the right decisions when it comes to hiring and firing people then people would not be calling these sports organizations and businesses out consistently.

So you would rather have the worse coach over the qualified coach because one of them is black? Talk about buddy buddy connections, how do you think Shaq, Wade and Candace got there jobs on tnt?

So what they mean they should just ignore the guy who worked with centers like Jokic, AD and Boogie and give the spot to another guy cause he’s black? On a center based team? They have been working for less than 2 days and KAT already had a fantastic game 26/8/11 with offence focused finally on him

This is getting tiresome even for people from the left like myself. Are they actually insinuating that the owners would NOT pick the best coach and get the best results for their team because they dont want to see a “minority” person succeed? If this wasn’t such a serious topic at this time it would be hilarious.

Oh stop it, stop making it about race! They hire the best man/woman available for the job, it’s simple. From what we know this situation with the twolves has absolutely nothing to do with race
