Replace Mitchell with KD and thats a championship. Utah is like Toronto, all the pieces in place they just need that one guy to put them over the top

Donovan Mitchell and Jimmy Butler would be Dwayne Wade and lebron James 2.0 👀

I don’t think I’ve ever had more respect for and agreed with Perk more than in this clip. Makes Perk sound like the smartest dude on earth when you make him argue something obvious like that. Well done Killer Kendrick 📈

Mitchell is not that guy, too one dimensional, zero defense. No killer instinct. Shaq saw it coming from a mile away, Mitchell is an above average offensive player but nowhere near elite level.

If he takes his game to the next level (scoring, facilitating, consistency, and leadership) then yes. But that’s a big what if…

Of course you can build it. You are not going to win much, but you can try.

Kawaii, Steph, Giannis, and Lebron. 4 men have led teams to the chip recently. Mitchel is good. But only the goats win chips. He should join LA, GS, or Milwaukee

They need a high calibre talent and then add more. Spida is high calibre, a star and he is 25 with a huge future.

I couldn’t agree with Perk more. I love Mitchell and can’t wait for the Knicks to grab him. However, this is the question… If you are a GM and had a top 10 pick, would you select Mitchell with the first pick? There’s 10 players that you would build around before him. LeBron, Durant, Giannis, Curry, Jokic, Embiid, Luka, Tatum, Morant just to start. Then Harden, CP3, Dame, Kyrie, Davis, Booker, Zion, Mitchell is that next tier. I think Mitchell is built to be a terrific Robin and there’s no shame in that.

People on here are tripping if they think he would be a good second option. Look at the other second options on teams who recently won …

Middleton, Klay/Wiggins, Anthony Day to Davis, etc.

Mitchell isnt close to any of these players. His defense is basically non-existent, hes in tier 4 or 5 in the NBA. Just because you can score on high volume shooting doesnt mean you are a high level talent.

I guess the moral of the story is Luka’s don’t grow on trees…?

I rarely agree with Perkins, but he is dead on with this.

Perks right, I’ve seen almost every game of his. You CAN’T win with him as your number one. It’s not hard to get points when you get 20-30 shots a game he has the greenest light in the nba. He shoots poorly, worst shot selection in nba thinking he’s Steph he no longer is aggressiveto the hoop since his injury. He’s a turn over machine bad pass after bad pass driving to the lane jumping in the air with nowhere to go or just dribbling the ball off of his own foot. He got an 8 sec violation in the bubble that cost us the series. Hes a Very very poor defender. Please get him out of Utah let him be someone else’s problem.

    He’s only 25 years old 😂

Nah he’s gotten the jazz to the #1 seed in the west and his 2nd best offensive players were who, Clarkson and Conley? The kid averages 28ppg in the playoffs, give him some help and you can compete.
