Nope this was not a statement win….the statement win or games came early in the season when they played the Nets at full strength they lost 145 to 141 then came back and beat them 2 days later 114 to 96 ….then played them a 3rd time when they had the Big 3 in Harden, Karie, and Durant. Side note the Hawks are one of 7 teams to actually play the Big three ….all 3 played extensive mins to I might add…With Durant playing 42min scoring 32pts Harden playing 45min scoring 31pts and Karie playing 41min scoring 26Pts…this game went into overtime and the Hawks lost 132 to 128…thats just 4 points
One might say ok they lost 2 out of 3 so whats the point….The point is my friend the Hawks then just like now had major injuries up and down the roster…and same as now as it was then made no excuses….and could have very easily won all 3 games…..All 3 times they pushed the Team that everyone in the NBA says watchout for when they get healthy its a rap…when the Big 3
all come together its over……I say we see what the Hawks are capable of with half a team….wait till they have a whole team….its going to be scary!

Hawks get no media love they beat two great teams back to back without half their roster … Hit 6 STRAIGHT 3s to put away a bucks team that should’ve won ..imagine if the lakers did that … keep fighting hawks and keep supporting hawks fan y’all got something special

They are playing through adversity with or without injuries, which is what playoff teams who can contend need to do. And that was a big criticism of the Hawks, could they close out games and overcome those challenges.

The Hawks are turning into Golden State 2.0
When this team trust the next guy I believe they are the best team in the league. I say that because they have one of the top shot blockers in Capela. They have so many shooters with a balance of players who can get their own shot. The only thing that concerns me is defense but they have gotten much better with the new coach. They also have one of the best turnover ratios in the league.

I think they are the team with the most injuries this season so maybe that’s why, cause fully healthy thru could be a problem come playoff time

The talent level and versatility of today’s players is so far beyond anything from my prior gen. Back then, you had your Superstars, and the rest. These last 5 years, the bar has been raised so high. A league of superstars. I just watched the 11th seed pels destroy the Clippers. Their entire starting 5 are freakin Stars. Zion, Ingram, Lonzo, Bledsoe, Adams. And they’re in 11th???!!!
