After closing the game on a 24-9 run, the Denver Nuggets defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 126-115, in Game 6. Nikola Jokic led the way for the Nuggets with 36 PTS, 8 REB and 6 AST, while Monte Morris added 22 PTS (16 in the 2nd half) and a Playoff career-high 9 AST in the victory. Damian Lillard tallied 28 PTS, 4 REB and 13 AST for the Trail Blazers in the losing effort. The Nuggets have now closed out this best-of-seven series, 4-2, and will advance to the Western Conference Semifinals to face the winner of the Phoenix Suns – Los Angeles Lakers series (Phoenix currently leads, 3-2).

Thank god this series is over. Casual nba fans think it was a “great” series but in reality it’s just both teams can’t play a lick of defense. What comes out of this series for the blazers will be a new coach and a realization of how much they overpaid for CJ. It will be impossible to trade him cause of his extension. They need to get rid of nurkic, he can’t protect the rim but is coming off an injury and maybe he’s better next year 🤷♂️. Powell will be gone so now the team got even worse on defense. It’s just a mess. And next year won’t be any different. Just another wasted year of dames career unless they somehow talk kawhi into coming to Portland, which is about as likely as the nuggets winning the next series.

The thing about these highlight videos is that you know 99% of the time that the team with the ball is about to score. It takes away the suspense. Even so, it was cool to see Denver stage a comeback and win the series. Jokic was a monster.

Being a life long Portland born Blazer fan I have all the right to say this. Dame can score 100 points a game for all I care. But his defense is atrocious and I’m being extremely kind saying this. Dame is more worried about hitting 30 foot 3’s than he is about improving his defense by FAR. The team as a whole is a bunch of overachieving multimillionaires who can’t play D and if it wasn’t for Kanter would be horrendous rebounding team. People say “I’d be different if Collins was healthy.” No actually he wouldn’t make a single bit of difference. He’s played 146 out of 254 games in 3 seasons. 77 of them in his second year. In those 3 seasons he’s averaged a whopping 4 rebounds a game. Why we keep on trading guards for guards is beyond me. We clearly need to revamp the backcourt. Just look at Joker. Nuggets would be a top 3 lottery pick next year if it wasn’t for him. He even acknowledged that the Blazers were much more talented than the Nuggets and that they needed a ton of luck if they wanted to play in the 2nd round. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the truth and his whole team knows it and stepped up in a MAJOR way. Watch his post game interview after game 2 if you don’t believe me. The Blazers are going backwards for years and Stotts has to go. I can only imagine what Michael Malone would do if he was the Blazers coach. But if you’re content with the Blazers making the playoffs then they need not change a thing. If you want to see a Championship there needs to be a huge change with new faces starting with a coach. Superstars don’t settle for mediocrely. Look at Jordan, Kobe, Bron to name a few. They all played great D every time they stepped on the court.
