It’s called a sponsor, Emirates are sponsoring the entire tournament. The Premier League has a similar case for the FA Cup, which is also sponsored by Emirates, thus being called the Emirates FA Cup. So NBA Cup + Emirates (sponsor) = Emirates NBA Cup.
Also only the semi-finals and finals are played in Las Vegas, the rest of the games are played normally in home team’s arenas, so it doesn’t make sense to call it “Las Vegas NBA Cup”.
