Kyle Kuzma took home MVP honors for the 2019 Mtn Dew Ice Rising Stars as he led the USA team to a 161-144 victory over the World team. Kuzma led all scorers with 35 points (15-27 FG) and 6 rebounds, while Jayson Tatum added 30 points (12-24 FG) and 9 rebounds in the victory. Kuzma’s 35 points are the most points scored by a Laker in the Rising Stars game (31 – K. Bryant, 1997). Ben Simmons led the World team with 28 points (14-17 FG), to go with 5 rebounds and 6 assists, while Lauri Markkanen totaled 21 points (9-17 FG) and 6 rbeounds in the losing effort.
